Agreement to These Terms By downloading, accessing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Application.
Nature of the Service The Application reads the barcode or QR code printed on a record sleeve - from the camera or from an image you choose in your photo library - finds the release that matches it, and shows catalogue details together with an indicative market price. Decoding is performed on the device; the digits of the code are then used to query catalogue and pricing sources.
Prices Are Indicative A price shown in the Application is a reference figure drawn from catalogue and marketplace data. It is an estimate, not an appraisal, not an offer, and not a guarantee of what any copy will sell for. Condition of the sleeve and the disc, pressing variant, label, matrix, region, completeness, and demand at a given moment all move the real figure, and the Application cannot see any of them. Nothing shown in the Application is a professional appraisal or investment advice, and a record should not be bought, sold, insured, or entered into an estate on the strength of a figure it displays. For a record that matters, ask a dealer or a certified appraiser who can hold it.
Catalogue Accuracy Catalogue entries come from third-party sources and may be incomplete, outdated, or attached to the wrong pressing. The same barcode is often shared across reissues and regional variants, so a match is a starting point that deserves checking against the runout, the label, and the sleeve.
No Authentication The Application cannot tell an original pressing from a counterfeit, a bootleg, or an unofficial repress. A barcode is ink printed on paper: it can be reproduced, borrowed from another release, or applied to a sleeve it never belonged to, and reading it proves nothing about the disc inside. Where authenticity affects what a record is worth, have it examined by someone qualified to authenticate it. Do not rely on the Application for that judgement.
User Responsibilities You decide what to scan and what to do with the result. Verify anything that affects money before acting on it. The Company is not responsible for a purchase, sale, or other decision made on the strength of information shown in the Application.
Subscriptions and In-App Purchases The Application may offer optional subscriptions that provide access to premium features. Subscriptions are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store and billed to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your Apple ID account settings prior to the renewal date. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your device settings.
Refunds All purchases and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with App Store policies. The Company does not process payments directly. In connection with a refund request, Apple may request limited subscription-related information for verification purposes, as required under App Store policies.
Intellectual Property The Application, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by the Company or its licensors. Album artwork, label names, and release data remain the property of their respective owners and are shown for reference only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer the Application except as permitted by law.
Acceptable Use You agree not to misuse the Application, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use it in violation of applicable laws or regulations. Automated or bulk querying of the scanning service, and extraction of catalogue or pricing data for resale or republication, are not permitted.
Service Availability The Application is provided on an "as available" basis. Lookups depend on network access and on third-party data sources, so results may be delayed, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Application, including any financial loss following from reliance on a price or catalogue entry. Any liability related to the use of the Application shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the Application during the preceding twelve months.
Age Eligibility The Application is intended for general audiences and may be used by individuals who meet the age requirements applicable in their jurisdiction.
Changes to These Terms These Terms may be revised from time to time. Once a revision takes effect, using the Application means the newer text governs your use of it.
