Application Overview	This Privacy Policy describes how information is handled when you use the Vinyl Record Scanner mobile application (the "App"). The App reads the barcode or QR code printed on a vinyl record sleeve and shows catalogue details and an indicative market price for that pressing.

On-Device Scanning	Decoding happens on your device. A code can be read either from the live camera view or from an image you pick in your photo library, and in both cases the picture is examined locally, only until a code is recognised, and then released. Nothing is saved by the App: no photograph is taken, no video is recorded, and neither the camera view nor the image you selected is ever transmitted anywhere.
Catalogue Lookups	Once a code has been decoded, the digits themselves are sent to catalogue and pricing sources so that the matching release can be found. What leaves your device is a product number, not an image and not anything that identifies you.
Permissions	The App asks for the camera so a code can be read from the live view, and for access to a single picture when you would rather scan one you already have — only the file you point at is opened. Turn either off in your device settings and that route to scanning disappears, while the other keeps working.
Your Collection and History	Records you keep, and the list of what you scanned earlier, are stored inside the App on your device. There is no account and no copy of that list on our side. Removing an entry deletes it; removing the App deletes all of them.
Information You Provide	Writing to support means we see the address you wrote from and whatever you put in the message. That is used to work out what went wrong and to answer you, and for nothing else.
Technical Information	Crashes, build numbers, device models, iOS versions and counts of which screens were opened reach us automatically. That stream exists so faults can be found and the App made steadier; it carries nothing about the records you scanned.
Third-Party Services	The App uses established third-party services to support catalogue and pricing data, analytics, subscription management, and attribution measurement. Providers other than the catalogue sources receive technical and commercial signals only.
Purpose of Processing	Information is processed only to: find the release that matches a scanned code, operate and maintain the App, improve reliability and performance, support subscriptions and billing, measure aggregated usage and attribution.
Legal Basis	Processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing and improving the App, as well as on the performance of the service requested by you.
What the App Does Not Do	The App does not store what the camera sees, does not browse or upload your photo library - only the single image you choose is read, and it is read on your device alone - does not build a profile of you from the records you scan, and does not process personal data unrelated to its functionality.
International Processing	Some technical data may be processed by service providers located in other jurisdictions. Such processing is performed with appropriate safeguards in accordance with applicable laws.
Data Retention	A decoded code exists only for the length of the lookup it triggered. Support correspondence is kept while it is useful for handling the request, and diagnostic records while they still explain something about reliability. Once neither is true, they are deleted or stripped of anything identifying.
Security	We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect information processed in connection with the App.
Legal Requests	Where a court order, a lawful demand from an authority, or the need to stop abuse of the service leaves us no choice, we hand over what the request obliges us to hand over and nothing beyond it.
Your Rights	You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided.
Changes to This Policy	This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the current version.
